What’s On

FRIDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT:  Each Friday night, the Club grooves to the sounds of a diverse range of music.  Local performers and name artists are regularly scheduled and the Club is proud to be associated with the promotion of live music events including the annual Australian Blues Music Festival.  At other times facilities are available for booking for private functions.
FUNCTIONS: The Goulburn Club is a popular venue for functions of all kinds – Receptions, Weddings, Birthdays, Business meetings,  Parties. The upstairs Durack room is ideal for large groups, while the smaller Gallery and Twynam rooms provide more intimacy. The Verandah overlooking Belmore park is also available for hire. THURSDAY NIGHTS:  Each Thursday several different groups hold regular meetings and the club is open for members and guests from 5pm each Thursday. The Ukulele Band meets each Thursday night. The Goulburn Comedy Club hold a ticketed event occasionally. 
FRIDAY NIGHTS: The first Friday of the month there is Bush Traditions sessions and the third Friday of the month there is Traditional Irish Music Sessions. The main sessions run from 7:30pm to 11pm. But there are also Slow Sessions between 5:30-7pm. (Please note this is extra to normal Friday night Entertainment.)
SUNDAYS:  The Club is open from 1-5pm each Sunday when the club hosts ‘Sunday Sessions’. Anyone can come to join in or just enjoy the atmosphere of the Club.
SQUASH: The Club has a squash court, which is available for members and the general public to use.
EVENTS:  The Goulburn club features regular special events and is proud to be a part of Community Festivals and events in Goulburn

What                    “OPEN MIC NIGHT

Admission          free for members and guests of the Goulburn Club
 
On the 2nd Friday of each month the Club as usual will host the “Goulburn Open Mic Night” where any performers can show off their talents. Anyone is welcome to come along to listen or present an item at the monthly open mic. Musicians, singer/songwriters, poets, comedians or any other performer is welcome to join in and show off your talent at the Goulburn Club Open Mic night on the second Friday of each month starting at 7.30 pm. Soloists and groups regularly appear and the variety is always entertaining. A vocal PA is available to use and each act is given 10 to 15 minutes to perform depending on the number of acts on the night. Simply turn up and put your name on the white board to get a spot.

What                    “GRUB – goulburn Regional Ukulele Band

The Goulburn Regional Ukulele band GRUB is a group of ukulele players of all ages and musical ability who meet weekly to share the joy of music, playing ukuleles and singing favourite songs.
New members and visitors are always welcome from beginners to established performers. Bring a uke and join in singing and playing or just come to listen or sing along
Beginners start at 5.30 to learn a new technique, chord or song and from 6.30 the group works on new or old songs and prepare for performances.
Every Thursday from 5.30pm(for beginners), from 6.30pm (for others)
Songbooks are available.

The Club is open every Sunday afternoon to enjoy the views across Belmore Park from the veranda, sit around the open fires in winter  or join in the music sessions.
1pm – 3pm Australian, Scottish and Irish Song Session 
Traditional songs of Australia, Scotland and Ireland are shared and sung. Anyone is welcome to come and join in playing and singing. Song sheets are provided.
3pm – 5pm Veranda band Americana session
Traditional and popular songs of America including country, bluegrass, blues and folk are sung together. Anyone is welcome to come and join in playing and singing.
