About Us

The GOULBURN CLUB is situated at 19 Market St, Goulburn overlooking the beautiful Belmore Park. It is run by volunteer members but is open to anyone who wants to enjoy the relaxed historical ambience, boutique beers and wines and excellent entertainment on offer.

The Goulburn Club is a popular venue for functions of all kinds – Receptions, Weddings, Birthdays, Business meetings,  Parties. The upstairs Durack room is ideal for large groups, while the smaller Gallery and Twynam rooms provide more intimacy. The Verandah overlooking Belmore park is also available for hire. Booking information can be found on the  Calendar page.

OLD WORLD CHARM – The Goulburn Club is one of the city’s oldest institutions and is the centerpiece of Goulburn’s historic Market Street.  Harking back to the days when NSW’s first inland city was the hub of an expanding rural community,  the Club’s unique premises have lost none of their old-world charm.  From its beginnings as a gentleman’s club to its present day role as a social and cultural resource for the community,  The Goulburn Club continues to be valued by members and visitors alike. Where patrons from a bygone day may have availed themselves of the Club’s amenities after a thirsty day at the wool sales (or awaiting the mail coach which arrived through the still-existing stone archway), patrons of the Club today are more likely to be found relaxing with friends on the verandah overlooking Belmore Park, or enjoying one of the Club’s regular art exhibitions. Find out more on the History page.

MUSIC  At night, the Club frequently grooves to the sounds of a diverse range of music.  Local performers and name artists are regularly scheduled and the Club is proud to be associated with the promotion of live music events including the annual Australian Blues Music Festival.  At other times facilities are available for booking for private functions. Find out more by going to Music.

SQUASH:
The Club has a squash court, which is available for members and the general public to use.

EVENTS:
The Goulburn club features regular special events and is proud to be a part of Community Festivals and events in Goulburn

PROJECTS – The Club has engaged Tim Lee Architects to design a plan to make the Club accessible. A DA was submitted to Goulburn Mulwaree Council and has been approved. The total concept is large and will be very expensive but the work can be done in stages, with the first stage being the installation of a Lift. The full plans are available at  Accessibility Plans
