Accent is on participation so bring voices and instruments and join in.
A Folk Ring where we each choose an item in turn as a request or to lead.
A Theme where songs and poems on a particular theme are hunted out, practised and performed.
A booklet of local dance tunes has been compiled to use at the sessions. You can get one at the session or from David’s Online Shop.
Traditional Irish Music Sessions
The Third Friday of each month at 7:30pm-11pm
A monthly session featuring Celtic music. All levels of musicianship welcome. Music available.
Due to CO-Vid numbers are going to be limited to 18 in the Durack Room where we usually meet and if there’s an overflow then there are 15 places in the Gallery possibly with a video/sound connection to the Durack Room, or possibly as a separate event in the Stewart Room.
Attendance is strictly limited to Goulburn Club members and you can signup or renew on arrival.
There is a waiting list option on the booking site if you miss out.
The link for this Friday’s Celtic Session is
In its fourteenth year and still powering along.
Led by Peter McLaren, a Goulburn musician and teacher, who plays button accordion (Jimmy Shand type), English concertina, harp and mandolin, and occasionally whistle, fiddle, guitar and banjo.
